It turns out Dan Lanning wants to take a sledgehammer to all the helmets in the Big Ten Conference. Moments ago Na'eem Offord, a 5-star cornerback from Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama, switched his commitment to Oregon.
Offord did it live on the 247Sports national recruiting show so it's official, not a rumor or a report from "sources." He's a 6-1, 185-pound cornerback rated the #2 cornerback in the nation and the #11 prospect overall.
Along with a flip by four-star quarterback Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, it moves the Ducks into the top five in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
The Ducks won a three-way battle for Offord, who committed to Ohio State in February after making his second visit, choosing between Auburn, Ohio State and Oregon today.
His commitment gives them a superb haul in the secondary this fall. Cornerbacks Brandon Finney and Dorian Brew signed this morning and safety Trey McNutt is expected later today.
Strength, physical maturity and playmaking ability are the first three things that jump off the page when you watch Offord's highlight tape. Oregon's 2025 secondary will be young but loaded with lockdown talent.
Update: Oregon Football announced Offord as officially signed one minute ago on X.
