The Oregon Ducks offensive line has been named a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, awarded annually to the most outstanding offensive line unit in college football.
The Ducks are one of four finalists including No. 2 Washington, No. 6 Georgia and No. 13 LSU. Oregon was also a finalist in 2019, when the Ducks had players like Penei Sewell, Jake Hanson, Calvin Throckmorton and Shane Lemieux.
Oregon's offensive line, lead by first-year offensive line coach A'lique Terry, ranks No .1 nationally in sacks allowed, surrendering just five all season. They're tied for fourth in college football with just 42 tackles for loss allowed.
The Ducks' offenses ranks No. 2 nationally in scoring offense (44.2 PPG), total offense (526.6 YPG) and passing offense (342.8 YPG). They rank No. 3 in yards per rush at 5.86.
Led by Rimington Trophy finalist Jackson Powers-Johnson , the Ducks are the top pass-blocking team in the nation according to Pro Football Focus at 91.3. They're the only team that grades out above 90.0
The Ducks also dominated on the ground, ranked No. 2 nationally by PFF at 95.0.
JPJ was a two-time Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week in 2023 and was also named a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy. He's the highest graded center in college football, grading out at 91.3 in pass blocking, 84.2 in run blocking, and 83.9 overall.
The Ducks were the winners of the Joe Moore Pancake of the Week Award five times throughout the season, with three different players taking the crown at least once.
The Joe Moore Award's voting committee will announce the recipient of the 2023 Joe Moore Award following a surprise visit to the winner's campus in late December.
