The Vols (8-4, 4-4) ended the 2023 regular season as the No. 21 team in the final College Football Playoff poll rankings before postseason play. It's the second consecutive season that Tennessee has ended the regular season ranked in the CFP Poll, a major win for head coach Josh Heupel and this coaching staff.
However, their recent success has fans hoping and expecting more in the years to come. 2024 is one of those years - former five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava is expected to take the reigns as the starter, and many have been expecting that era of Tennessee football to be where they begin to deliver. They continue to learn more about what next season will look like, as several game dates for the year were recently released.
There are a handful of conference games that the Vols still haven't learned yet.
