The Pat McAfee Show, starring the former Indianapolis Colts and West Virginia Mountaineers punter, has become a mainstay on ESPN's midday lineup.
McAfee's candid takes on the sports world and bar hangout type of atmosphere has won over sports fans across the country, although McAfee has also become a lightning rod for controversy at times.
On Friday, McAfee touched on several key topics including the use of artificial intelligence at sports arenas and race tracks throughout the United States, as well as in movies.
McAfee also made an announcement on the future of the show as he looked ahead to next week.
"(Next) Tuesday we will be live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in anticipation of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals," McAfee said Friday as his show drew to a close in the 2 p.m. hour on ESPN.
The Pacers are scheduled to host the New York Knicks at 8 p.m. ET at their home arena that evening. Indiana currently leads the series one game to zero after guard Tyrese Haliburton hit a seemingly impossible shot to send Game 1 at Madison Square Garden to overtime prior to a Pacers win.
The Pacers have not made the NBA Finals since 2000, when their Reggie Miller, Rik Smits, Dale Davis and Jalen Rose led team lost 4-2 to the Shaquille O'Neal, Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant led Lakers.
The former Mountaineer McAfee played with the Indianapolis Colts from 2009 to 2016 after being selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft in 2009.
