Paul Finebaum 'Clowns' Florida State QB For Nick Saban Comment

Paul Finebaum fiercely disagreed with Florida State Seminoles quarterback Thomas Castellanos . The ESPN radio host took a clear stance after Castellanos' viral statement about the Alabama Crimson Tide

Talking to On3's Pete Nakos about the Alabama-FSU matchup to kick off their season, Castellanos might have given major bulletin board material to an Alabama program hungry to redeem itself after the 9-4 season.

The FSU quarterback said, "I dreamed of moments like this. I dreamed of playing against Alabama. They don't have Nick Saban to save them. I just don't see them stopping me."

Responding to his comments, Finebaum expressed stern disagreement with the former Boston College quarterback. For the veteran radio host, Castellanos has put his foot in his mouth.

During 'The Paul Finebaum Show' on Monday, the veteran radio host said, "I certainly disagree. Kelby Collins and LT Overton are laughing at him. And the whole world will be laughing at this clown in just a few months, when Alabama goes down to Tallahassee and stomps a mud hole in his jersey.”

Finebaum does not see a struggling FSU and a quarterback on his third college football team coming in the way of Kalen DeBoer's revamped Crimson Tide side.

Even some Alabama players took note of the comments by Castellanos, as Finebaum mentioned. Florida transfer Kelby Collins and defensive lineman LT Overton commented on the post, while quarterbacks Ty Simpson and Austin Mack 'liked' the post, indicating they have taken note of this disrespect.

On top of this, five-star recruit Xavier Griffin also commented on the post with a laughing emoji. But this can't bode well for the Seminoles, as Griffin is currently considering both FSU and Alabama. So, whether he's laughing at Thomas Castellanos' comments or the man himself remains to be seen.

The Alabama Crimson Tide and FSU Seminoles face each other in a season opener on 30 August 2025.
