Penn State has announced the start time for its 2024 Blue-White Game.
The annual spring game, scheduled for Saturday, April 13, is set to begin at 2 p.m.
PSU announced the date for the spring game back in late November, the same day news broke of Andy Kotelnicki becoming the team’s offensive coordinator.
This is the same kickoff time Penn State set for last season’s spring game. More details will come out later. The Blue-White Game is traditionally played under a running clock. Last season, the Blue team shut out the White team, 10-0. Receiver Omari Evans scored the game’s lone touchdown.
The spring game will mark the end of Penn State’s spring practices. The practices will begin in March at a date to be determined. The game will give Penn State fans a glimpse of Kotelnicki, the new offensive coordinator, and Tom Allen, the first-year defensive coordinator. Kotelnicki is Penn State’s first full-time OC since Mike Yurcich’s firing with two games left in the season. Allen’s succeeding Manny Diaz’s, who departed in early December to become Duke’s head coach. It will also give Penn State fans a look at the team’s new players, which consist of the 2024 recruiting class (the ones who enrolled early) and transfers.
Former the moment, the transfer portal addition Penn State fans are generally the most excited to see is Julian Fleming.
Fleming has been on Penn State’s radar for years.
He was a five-star, in-state prospect from Southern Columbia High School, located roughly an hour and a half from State College. Penn State was firmly in the mix. But Fleming eventually signed to Ohio State’s 2020 class. Through four seasons in Columbus, Fleming didn’t put up the numbers many expected. This was largely due to being in a receivers room included players such as Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr., just to name a few.
Now, he’ll be playing for Penn State.
It’s yet to be announce whether the Big Ten Network will carry the 2024 Blue-White Game.
