Penn State selling 'Chad Powers' merchandise after Eli Manning skit

Former New York Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning recently went viral after he pretended to try out for the Penn State Nittany Lions football team as a character named "Chad Powers" for an edition of his ESPN "Eli's Places" program.

Penn State wisely isn't letting the craze go to waste.

TMZ Sports notes that a Penn State spokesperson has confirmed that official school bookstore locations, sales trailers around Beaver Stadium, and other approved outlets will begin selling Powers-related merchandise on Saturday ahead of the afternoon non-conference game against the Central Michigan Chippewas. The Penn State Athletics Twitter account shared pictures of the shirts that may become must-own products among PSU fans who also cheer for the Giants:

The "think fast, run fast" line on one of the shirts is a reference to how Powers hilariously runs a 5.49 40-yard dash during his "tryout" with the Penn State program.

According to Mikey DeAngelis of Onward State, Penn State is also hosting a Powers-themed promotion and event at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park located just outside the football stadium. Those able to beat Powers' 40-yard dash time will win a free t-shirt and also alleged bragging rights:

The 3-0 Nittany Lions head into the weekend ranked No. 14 in the country.
