Penn State Tight End Tyler Warren Draft Spotlight For The Falcons

Tyler Warren of Penn State may be the gem of the draft. Atlanta is a bit between a rock and a hard place.

The Atlanta Falcons picked up the fifth-year option on the Kyle Pitts contract, but this doesn't mean he will not be traded this offseason. The Falcons need an edge rusher first and foremost, whether through the draft or with a veteran via free agency.

With the 15th pick in the draft, folks have every intention to believe that the Falcons will go edge rusher, but with Kyle Pitts not performing, they may be inclined to move on a tight end early. This is where the aforementioned rock meets a hard place.

Tyler Warren of Penn State makes all the sense in the world for Atlanta, but It doesn't appear that he will last until the second round, and he looks to be a weapon on every team's big board.

If Warren was available when it came time for Atlanta to make a pick, would they take a gamble on a name such as Texas A&M's Shemar Stewart or Marshall's Mike Green to be available later?

The issue with Kyle Pitts is of no fault of his own; honestly, he has to be targeted more than once a game, and this is the reason that I believe that he will be back for the 2025 season, whether they draft Tyler Warren or not.

Tyler Warren is an old-school football player, ranked second in the nation among tight ends. Warren finished the season with 104 catches, 1,233 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns, which led the Nittany Lions in all major receiving categories.

Warren is also 6-foot-6, 250 pounds. He is a significant target in the red zone, something the Falcons have lacked in previous years. If the draft holds a sure thing, this athlete may be it.
