Last season wasn't the best season for the Oklahoma Sooners' football program. However, they still have a few players that could get drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, specifically Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman.

As for Stutsman, he was one of the best linebackers in the country last year. Unfortunately for him, the NFL doesn't value linebackers that well when it comes to the NFL Draft. Even the best linebackers sometimes won't go in the first round. Then, sometimes you have linebackers like Jihaad Campbell that are the exception.

But, because they are undervalued, it doesn't mean that they are bad players. Stutsman is made to be an NFL linebacker who can cover and play the run very well. However, his biggest thing is whether someone will give him a chance or not.

If so, there are a few perfect fits and scenarios for Stutsman that would be amazing to see.

Perfect 2025 NFL Draft scenarios for Sooners' Danny Stutsman

Stutsman is an aggressive linebacker who can play on or off the ball, with the ability to have sideline-to-sideline speed, which is extremely important in the NFL. He's always where the ball is. There are a ton of teams in the league that could use a player like him, some that would offer the opportunity for him to compete for the starting gig.

Las Vegas Raiders

Right now, the Las Vegas Raiders have a starting linebacker unit of Devin White and Elandon Roberts, two guys are are basically on veteran minimums, or a tad bit more. And neither of those guys can cover, and they both basically play the same style of football. Drafting a guy who can cover with room to get better in that department would only help their defense. Stutsman could easily compete for a starting position and may even win it.

Buffalo Bills

Terrel Bernard is currently projected to be the starter at the MIKE linebacker spot next to Matt Milano. If the Bills can get a guy next to one of the more underrated LBs in the league in Milano, their defense would take a huge step. Stutsman, who can cover but is much better on the ball, would be a great fit. The Bills need an upgrade on defense at the MIKE spot, and they could potentially get that on Day 3.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are similar to the Raiders in that they don't really have a guy who is good on and off the ball like Stutsman is and can be. Zaire Franklin is their lead LB, but he really struggled last year. E.J. Speed is now on the Houston Texans, and that leaves Jaylon Carlies as their WILL starter. They should really take a flyer on a guy who would certainly match the culture they are looking for.
