ESPN's Pete Thamel reports the singer, whose legal name is Armando Christian Perez, is expected to pay the school $1.2 million per year for the next five years to change the name of FIU Stadium to "Pitbull Stadium."
The $6 million deal also includes a clause permitting Pitbull to create an "FIU anthem," according to documents posted on X by Sports Business Journal's Ben Portnoy.

The partnership is fitting given Pitbull's self-given nickname "Mr. 305" — a nod to Miami's area code — and Perez having attended Miami Coral Park High School in his youth.
ESPN also reports the deal gives Pitbull use of the stadium 10 days per year while his vodka company will be the preferred brand distributed at concessions.
The 20,000-seat Pitbull Stadium's opening game will be on Sept. 7 when Florida International hosts Central Michigan.
