Although it didn’t appear to be a need, one thing is certain and that’s Pitt is making adding a wide receiver for this season a priority.
Over the last week, the Panthers coaching staff have followed on X a number of wide receivers in the transfer portal and this morning, they extended their first offer.
Offensive coordinator Kade Bell extended an offer to Iowa wide receiver Jacob Bostick, who entered the transfer portal on Tuesday. Since entering the portal, Bostick has also received offers from Houston, Vanderbilt, Iowa State and Fresno State.

This spring, Bostick was listed as a second-team wide receiver on the Hawkeyes depth chart.
Last season, the native of Illinois played in a few games but didn’t record a catch, that was after not playing in 2022 due to an injury.
Keep in mind, no Iowa wide receiver had more than 300 receiving yard in 2023, which was a big reason for big changes on their offensive coaching staff.
Bostick will have 3 seasons of athletic eligibility remaining.
Coming out of high school, Bostick (6’3″, 170-pounds) was a 3-star recruit with Power 4 offers from Iowa, Illinois, Louisville, Cincinnati and Pitt.
