The Pittsburgh Panthers had one of the most interesting years of any college football team this season.
After starting on an impressive 7-0 run, they went on a six-game losing streak that was capped off with a six-overtime, 48-46 loss to the Toledo Rockets in the GameAbove Sports Bowl on Thursday.
Of course, that loss also ended their season, which meant it was time for the offseason to try to build up and do whatever they could to compete for the ACC title in 2025.
Unfortunately for the Panthers and head coach Pat Narduzzi, that becomes much harder after freshman defensive lineman Sincere Edwards decided he would be entering the transfer portal.

This could prove a huge loss for Pitt because Edwards was a force on the defensive line, even as a true freshman, accumulating 17 tackles, three sacks and two pass deflections.
He was also the third highest-ranked player in the program's 2024 recruiting class, as 247Sports had him as a four-star recruit and No. 66 defensive lineman in the nation.
In high school, Edwards also received offers from major programs such as Penn State, Ole Miss, Indiana, Colorado and Arkansas.
Whatever program is lucky enough to get Edwards will land a very talented defensive lineman who still has three more years of eligibility.
