Predicting Ohio State Buckeyes’ 2025 offensive two-deep depth chart way-too- early following the National Championship
Adam Cairns/Columbus Dispatch-USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

It is back to square one for the Ohio State Buckeyes following the National Championship. Buckeye HC Ryan Day finally got the weight off his shoulders of winning it all. Now, things are on to another page and that is the 2025 season.

The Buckeyes are going to look like a different team in 2025. Ohio State could have 15+ names called in the 2025 NFL Draft when April gets here. Like always though, it is next man up in Columbus.

Today, I will be predicting the 2025 depth chart for the Buckeyes on offense. You can read about the defense here.

Quarterback

Adam Cairns/Columbus Dispatch-USA TODAY NETWORK

• Julian Sayin

• Lincoln Kienholz or Tavien St. Clair

With Will Howard off to the NFL, the Buckeyes are again turning things over to another quarterback. Julian Sayin is in line to be the next starter and is the highest touted guy in the room who is ready to go. Lincoln Kienholz is the third-year guy in the room and will likely be the backup if he sticks around past the spring transfer portal. Tavien St. Clair is a future starter in Columbus but that won’t come in Year 1.

Running back

• James Peoples

• C.J. Donaldson

I think Ohio State has a pretty even split again next season as they did with TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. Of course, James Peoples and C.J. Donaldson aren’t Henderson and Judkins, but they are talented enough to get the job done. Peoples returns as the only Ohio State running back with experience in Columbus. Donaldson is the grad transfer who is a big back that is going to see a ton of short-yardage situations.

Wide receiver

• X - Jeremiah Smith

X - Quincy Porter

• Y - Brandon Inniss

Y - Mylan Graham

• Z - Carnell Tate

Z - Bryson Rodgers

Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate are unquestionably your top two wide receivers. Smith could be set up for a Heisman-type season in 2025 and Tate could be a 1,000-yard guy. Brandon Inniss has waited his turn and will replace Emeka Egbuka in the slot. Look for former highly touted recruit Mylan Graham to get some run in 2025.

Tight end

• Max Klare

• Will Kacmarek

• Jelani Thurman

Ohio State has a pretty loaded tight end room in 2025 in terms of talent. Max Klare was one of the biggest gets in the transfer portal and he has the ability to be one of the country’s best right ends. Whether Ohio State will give him enough usage is to be seen, but he is that good. Will Kacmarek came back for another year and is mostly a run-blocking tight end. Jelani Thurman could be a player to watch in the spring transfer window, but he has all of the talent to make an impact in Columbus.

Offensive line

LT - Ethan Onianwa

LT - Deontae Armstrong

• LG - Luke Montgomery

LG - Austin Siereveld

C - Carson Hinzman

C - Joshua Padilla

RG - Tegra Tshabola

RG - Devontae Armstrong

RT - Phillip Daniels

RT - Ian Moore

Ohio State went out and got two starting tackles in the transfer portal to sure up the offensive line for 2025. The offensive line could be even better in 2025. After a strong showing in the CFP, Luke Montgomery slides into a starting spot in 2025.
