Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns defeated No. 6 Oklahoma, 23-6, in Week 7.
It was the first loss of the season for Oklahoma despite getting quarterback John Mateer back for the first time since Sept. 20.
It was a strong bounce-back performance for Texas, which suffered a concerning 29-21 loss to Florida in Week 6.
Arch Manning led the way with 166 yards and a touchdown on 21-of-27 passing and 34 yards on the ground.
Oklahoma took a 6-3 lead into halftime, but Texas scored 20 second-half points to get the win in the Red River Rivalry.
It was the second straight win for Texas in the rivalry, and former Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers had some words for Manning after the game.
"Never a doubt!" Ewers wrote on his Instagram story with ESPN's post with Ewers and Manning next to each other.
In the 2024 game, it was all Texas as the Longhorns got the 34-3 win.
Ewers went 20-of-29 for 199 yards with a touchdown and an interception while adding another score on the ground.
Oklahoma had Michael Hawkins Jr. as the QB in that game, and the Sooners' only score came in the first quarter.
Texas has a 65-51-5 all-time record against Oklahoma, and this marked the first time for back-to-back wins in the rivalry since 2008-09.
Ewers was selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, and he is currently No. 3 at the QB position for the Dolphins.
After a big Texas win, Manning and the Longhorns face Kentucky on the road in hopes of building momentum.
