Quarterback Quinn Ewers is coming off a solid season for the Texas Longhorns, completing 293-of-445 passes for 3,472 yards, 31 touchdowns (led SEC), 12 interceptions, and a 149 passing efficiency rating.

However, despite still having one more year of eligibility, he decided to take the next step in his career and enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

It's relatively unclear where or how high he'll be selected, as Pro Football Focus ranks him as the No. 8 quarterback and the No. 142 player available to be selected, so not necessarily that great.

That doesn't mean he can't go much earlier, though, because in a mock draft done by Chad Reuter of NFL.com, he predicts that Ewers will be taken with the No. 50 pick by the Seattle Seahawks,

It would be an interesting scenario because the Seahawks just signed quarterback Sam Darnold to a three-year $100.5 million deal, keeping him with the team through the 2027 season.

That means if Darnold plays out his entire contract, stays healthy, and does not sign another extension, the Seahawks would be spending a top-50 pick on Ewers who would rarely see the field until his fourth season.

However, that could still be seen as an ideal situation for Ewers, who would sit and learn the Seahawks' playbook for three whole years until eventually competing for the starting spot.
