Report: Former Alabama analyst returns to the Crimson Tide to work under Kalen DeBoer
Peter Ackerman

The University of Alabama is getting an offensive analyst back from the Nick Saban era on Kalen DeBoer’s staff.

According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, Alabama is re-hiring John McNulty to the Crimson Tide.

The 55-year-old was an off-field analyst under Saban in 2023, helping the Tide to a Southeastern Conference Championship.

A former safety at Penn State University, he’s been an offensive coach throughout this career. McNulty has worked with quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends while being an offensive play caller. He has had success in college football and the National Football League. McNulty returns to being around names such as Jalen Milroe, Tyler Booker, Jaeden Roberts, Justice Haynes, Jam Miller, Kobe Prentice, and Kendrick Law. It is going to be exciting to see how he fits into DeBoer’s coaching staff.
