Many wondered if the 2024 College Football Playoff would be Drew Allar's last dance, but it sounds like the Nittany Lions QB is staying in Happy Valley.
Per ESPN CFB writer Pete Thamel, "Penn State star quarterback Drew Allar has informed the school's coaching staff of his intention to return to school for his senior year in 2025."
Noting, "Allar is 21-5 as a Penn State starter and would loom as one of the faces of college football in 2025."
Allar even confirmed the decision in a statement posted to his X account.

"This season has been the most fun I've ever had in my entire life playing football and I'm so proud of what we accomplished as a team," the former five-star recruit wrote.
"I know there's still more work to do which is why I look forward to making more memories with my teammates this year and beyond. But right now we are solely focused on the opportunity we have as a team in front of us," he concluded. "WE ARE!"
Allar's return is welcome news especially after backup Beau Pribula announced his decision to enter the transfer portal over the weekend.
The junior QB has thrown for 2,894 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions heading into Penn State's first-round matchup against SMU in the CFP, and he's showcased improved accuracy over the course of the season.
Keeping Allar with the program should only bode well for the Nittany Lions' chances in 2025 and could even give them a boost in this year's tournament knowing he's coming back.
