The Ohio State Buckeyes sent a resounding message to the rest of the nation with their 38-15 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers in Week 13. And late in the game, Ryan Day made sure to send a strong message to his opponent after they had thoroughly outclassed them in this one.
With the ball on the one-yard line and just over a minute left in the game, Ohio State had secured the victory. While Indiana had two timeouts left, head coach Curt Cignetti opted not to use them, and instead waved the white flag, realizing there was no way for his team to come back.
Rather than just kneeling the ball, Day called a pair of quarterback sneaks for Will Howard, with the second one seeing him find his way into the end zone. When asked about his controversial decision to run up the score, despite Indiana accepting defeat, Day issued a savage five-word message.
"We said, leave no doubt," Day stated to Fox sideline reporter Jenny Taft when asked about the Buckeyes final touchdown of the game.

Running up the score is frowned upon in all sports, so Day's decision to run not one, but two quarterback sneaks with the Hoosiers not calling their timeouts quickly drew the ire of fans. Given the stakes, though, he's simply suggesting he and his team wanted to make sure this game was over.
Regardless of whether or not you agree with Day's decision, Ohio State played well enough to decide how this game came to an end. After the Hoosiers opened the scoring, the Buckeyes responded by rattling off 31 straight points before a late touchdown from Indiana closed the gap.
Day must not have been content with a 16-point win, so he decided to have his team score another touchdown, even though his opponent was conceding the game. It was a show of strength from Ohio State, and it certainly caught the attention of college football fans everywhere.
With this win, the Buckeyes pushed their record to 10-1 on the year, and they will close out their regular season campaign in Week 14 with a matchup against Michigan.
