
Ryan Day's son, RJ Day, is a quarterback recruit in the 2027 class.
RJ Day, who plays for St. Francis de Sales High School in Columbus, Ohio, is a three-star prospect in the 2027 class. He's ranked the No. 92 quarterback in the country by 247Sports' rankings. He's the No. 50 overall recruit in the state of Ohio.
The son of the national title-winning Ohio State Buckeyes head coach has scholarship offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Purdue and Syracuse, among other programs.
On Sunday, he announced his commitment.
RJ Day announced his commitment to Northwestern. The commitment came during an official visit to the Chicago school.

"I committed to Northwestern because of the mix of academics and high-level football," said Day. "The campus is gorgeous. You can really tell they are invested in football, and they have big plans for the future. I want to help make an impact there and be a part of the plans that they have. Coach Kelly coached my dad in college, and that's really special to me.
"I knew during my official visit, and I told them during it," added Day. "The spring has been crazy, but I'm happy to finally be at a decision."
He's excited to play for Wildcats head coach David Braun.
"Coach Braun's energy is genuine," said Day. "For all of his players, he has a plan to elevate them as players and people. That's something I want to be part of."
