Scott Frost is back with the UCF Knights for a second stint, adding another transfer commitment on Saturday.
On3's Hayes Fawcett reported via X that former Oklahoma linebacker Lewis Carter had committed to UCF.
UCF was Frost's first head coaching gig in 2016. Frost played quarterback for Stanford from 1993-94 and Nebraska from 1996-97.
Frost went 19-7 during his first stint with the Knights from 2016-17. He then returned to his alma mater as a head coach from 2018-22. After going 16-31 at Nebraska, Frost was fired during the 2022 season.
Frost is replacing former head coach Gus Malzahn at UCF, who left to become the offensive coordinator at Florida State.

Carter was a former four-star prospect in the 2023 class. He was the No. 12 linebacker in the On3 Transfer Portal Industry Rankings. The former Sooners linebacker will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
During his time with Oklahoma, Carter was used mainly as a backup linebacker and on special teams. Carter played in 26 games for the Sooners and recorded 30 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.
Oklahoma is tied with Arkansas for the most transfer portal exits in the SEC. The Sooners have lost 30 players to the portal after a 6-7 season under head coach Brent Venables.
UCF has had a nearly even number of transfer portal additions and exits, bringing in 21 players while losing 22.
UCF's top transfer additions are former Indiana quarterback Tayven Jackson, former LSU corner Jyaire Brown and former Syracuse safety Jaeden Gould.
UCF's top transfer losses include former Alabama receiver Agiye Hall, defensive lineman Lee Hunter and former edge rusher Kaven Call.
The Knights won their first three games, but then went on a five-game losing streak. UCF finished the regular season at 4-8 after going 1-3 in its final four games.
