SEC Powerhouse to Host No. 1 ATH, 'Travis Hunter' of Trenches

During his jaw-dropping career at Colorado, 2024 Heisman Trophy Winner should be credited for two things.

For starters, his winning eight major awards, playing both ways and logging thousands of snaps in one season will forever cement him as a legend. In the same breath, his ability to play both ways at such a high level may have inspired a generation of football players who aspire to do the same.

While every athlete may hope to inspire those who come after them, expecting someone to be as productive at two positions as Hunter was, seems borderline irresponsible. There's a chance the sport never sees that level of production in the manner he did it again.

That being said, that won't stop incoming players from trying. The next perceived two-way star resides in the 2026 class in five-star athlete, Lamar Brown. However, the Baton Rouge native won't be playing wide receiver/corner like Hunter. Instead, there have been talks of him playing both offensive and defensive line, with Tulane being the first program to be on the record to offer him for both.

It's unclear if every program is recruiting him at both positions, but one thing is for certain, which is that the top schools around the country are very much interested in him.

As confirmed by Inside Texas, Brown is one of the dozen visitors set to take an official visit to Austin over the weekend.

Aside from Texas, Brown is also expected to visit LSU, Texas A&M, and Miami. Per 247Sports, Brown is expected to announce his commitment on July 10.
