Snow Expected To Impact Ohio State vs. Michigan

College football fans should expect to see fireworks this Saturday when No. 1 Ohio State squares off against No. 15 Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Last year, Michigan upset Ohio State 13-10 in Columbus. After players on the Wolverines tried to plant their flag at midfield, a huge brawl broke out at The Horseshoe. The police used pepper spray to defuse the scuffle.

While we're certainly hoping a similar scene doesn't unfold this year, we can't make any promises. All we can say right now is the weather could force both coaches to lean heavily on their rushing attacks.

According to AccuWeather, there could be period of snow in the afternoon. Overall though, it's only expected to be a coating to an inch.

The high temperature at kickoff is 32 degrees. There'll be 8 MPH wind gusts that could potentially make the kicking game a bit difficult for both teams.

What's at stake this Saturday?

A loss wouldn't knock Ohio State out of the College Football Playoff. It would, however, lead to questions about Ryan Day and his inability to defeat Michigan. On the flip side, a win would solidify the Buckeyes' status as the No. 1 team in the country.

“We’ve been working toward this all year, and we know that the opponent is different," Day said. “We know what’s at stake.”

As for Michigan, an upset win over Ohio State would give Sherrone Moore's squad an outside shot at making the CFP.

Kickoff for "The Game" is at 12 p.m. on FOX. Oddsmakers have the Buckeyes as 11.5-point favorites.
