Bills cut wide receiver amid Keon Coleman drama

Questions have surfaced about Keon Coleman's future with Bills

Questions have arisen regarding the second-year receiver's future with Buffalo. Last week, former Bills director of player personnel Jim Monos advised that Buffalo should consider releasing Coleman.

"They should just cut Keon Coleman. It would be one of the ultimate messages sent," said Monos on the "Go Long TD Podcast." "They just had their best, that game was so sick on offense. They don't need Keon Coleman. That was against a real defense, too. Tampa is a big-time defense."

Coleman has made 32 catches for 330 yards and scored three touchdowns this season. Buffalo's offense seemed to miss the 2024 second-round pick when it was held to under 20 points in a 23-19 loss to the Houston Texans on "Thursday Night Football" in Week 12.

However, the Bills seem prepared to give Coleman another shot after they decided to cut Moore this week. Moore had nine receptions for 112 yards this season.

Coleman needs to demonstrate his value on the field for the rest of the season, but he also has to show maturity in the locker room as Buffalo works toward a playoff spot. If he fails to develop in both areas, the Bills might have to make a tough decision about the promising young player.
