Steve Sarkisian has Texas Longhorns in mix for top recruiting class as most crucial visit weekend is set to kick off

Based on the long list of impressive targets that are heading to Texas this weekend, you can expect that to change very quickly. A couple of the most notable players who will be on campus includes five-star linebacker Xavier Griffin and offensive tackle Felix Ojo. The Longhorns are firmly in the top group for Griffin, while they are viewed as the front runner for Ojo at the moment. 

There is a very impressive group of defensive lineman also heading to Austin. That list includes Bryce Perry-White, Vodney Cleveland, Jake Kreul, and Dre Quinn. Texas is pushing for each of them, and are considered near the top of the list for Kreul. He would be a massive landing, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see Texas close the deal this weekend. 

Other targets to know for the Longhorns include cornerback Samari Matthews, athlete Jalen Lott, and offensive lineman Samuel Rosenborough. It appears that Rosenborough will more than likely be sticking in the state, but the question is whether it will be with the Longhorn or Texas A&M.  How much of a chance the program has with Lott and Matthews will depend how this weekend goes. 

With the momentum the Longhorns have, this weekend could be a massive one for Coach Sarkisian and his staff. This could be the start of another tremendous recruiting class, and it wouldn’t be shocking if it ends up being his best one in the end.
