TEMPE — Arizona State cornerback Keith Abney II received one of college football’s highest honors Wednesday, earning a spot on the 2025 All-American College Football Team.
Abney, a junior, emerged as one of the Big 12’s most disruptive defensive backs, finishing the season with 44 tackles, 36 solo tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and several critical plays in close games.
His selection highlights that even during a season marked by highs and lows, the Sun Devils still produced standout performers.
Being chosen among the nation’s best is no small achievement, as only a limited number of players are selected each year. Abney’s impact on the field was a clear reflection of his production, even if he wasn’t the one scoring touchdowns.
As Arizona State’s lone representative, the All-American has cemented himself as one of the top defenders not only in the Valley, but across the nation as well.
