Cal needs one more win to get bowl eligible to make this a terrific first season in the ACC. The team pulled up out a four-game losing streak with two good wins to get back into range, and it has a winnable game against Stanford up next before dealing with a trip to SMU.
Syracuse is already at six wins, but it lost a tough game at Boston College last week and now needs to make this first season under head coach Fran Brown something great.
If it pulls this off and beats UConn next week, it goes into the showdown against Miami with a shot to make a giant splash. No matter what, the team is playing with bowl-house money, but a loss to make it three in the last four games wouldn’t be a good look.

Syracuse vs Cal: Who Will Win?
The Cal offense has found its groove. It’s been progressively better over the last four games with a season-high 500 yards in the win over Wake Forest a few weeks ago.
Syracuse has the offense to keep up the pace, but the run defense has had a problem, the secondary will have an issue against the midrange Bear passing game, and Cal will get bowl eligible for a second year in a row.
