The Raiders aren’t making a slew of big mistakes.

They have a ton of problems, and there’s nothing for the Orange to be worried about, but in the first two games, there’s been just one turnover, seven penalties, and the offense is moving the chains.

Why Syracuse Will Win

Steve Angeli and the Syracuse offense will throw for a million bajillion yards if they want to.

There’s no Colgate pass rush whatsoever to worry about, and it shows with the beleaguered secondary getting hammers for close to 400 yards per game over the first two.

As good as the Orange are throwing the ball - there’s been no ground attack over the first two games - Angeli needs to be more accurate. This is the game for that.

Syracuse Will Fully Use What It’s Paying For

This is why you have paycheck games. Syracuse needs to get sharper after a rocky first two weeks, but the parts are there to keep exploding offensively.

Before head coach Fran Brown signed on, Syracuse opened the 2023 season with a 65-0 win over Colgate.

The Orange have won the last 18 in the 60-game series that began in 1905. It won’t quite be like the game two years ago, but it won’t be far off.
