Syracuse got bowl eligible a few weeks ago, but it has bigger fish to fry. No, not in the ACC title hunt, but if it wins out - including the bowl - it would be a wonderful ten-win season under new head coach Fran Brown.

But it’s all about next week. Win the home finale against Miami, and the entire College Football Playoff system gets screwed up.

UConn has been fantastic under Jim Mora, getting to seven wins and bowl eligibility, and now it’s on a three-game winning streak. It doesn’t have a win over a Power Four team, though. It was close against Duke and Wake Forest.

The Orange defense has been hit-or-miss, especially against the run. The team has managed to come up with wins when hammered on, but as long as the Huskies are grinding, they’ll be in it.

UConn is 6-0 when running for 180 yards or more, and while Syracuse has only allowed that many yards or more three times, it gives up over five yards per carry. But …
