Alabama football recently lost a commitment from Jabarrius Garror. Garror had been committed to Alabama since July of 2024.

The Vigor High School product now looks to be trending to play college football at another program. Could the Crimson Tide be in danger of losing another 2027 commitment?

Here is a look at some other teams pushing for Alabama 2027 commits:

Trent Seaborn

Teams Pushing: Miami, Oregon

Seaborn is a product of Thompson High School in Alabama, and he garners a four-star rating as a 2027 quarterback prospect. The Crimson Tide should feel really confident about where it stands with Seaborn. Schools like Miami and Oregon have continued to push for Seaborn, but he has made it clear he plans to stick with the Tide. Alabama is the only school set to host him for an official visit, and he is looking to get to Tuscaloosa a lot this summer to recruit for Alabama.

Colt Lumpris

Teams Pushing: Michigan, Texas A&M, Penn State

Lumpris is a product of The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey, and he garners a four-star rating as a 2027 tight end prospect. Offers continue to pour in for the talented tight end, and he is feeling a push from several schools. Michigan recently hosted him. Lumpris has official visits locked in with Texas A&M, Penn State and Alabama. The Tide picked up a commitment from Lumpris in December. Kalen DeBoer and Christian Robinson visited him in New Jersey. He shared his commitment to Alabama was solid after the visit. The Tide will likely have to fend off these other programs to hold onto the 6-foot-7 tight end.

“I am pretty locked in with Alabama,” Lumpris told Touchdown Alabama.

Nash Johnson

Teams Pushing: Auburn, Ole Miss, Miami, Texas

Johnson is a product of McEachern High School in Georgia, and he garners a four-star rating as a 2027 cornerback prospect. He has multiple official visits locked in with officials planned with Auburn, Miami, Ole Miss and Texas. The four-star has been committed to Alabama since October, but several schools have not stopped their pursuit of Johnson. Holding onto Johnson looks as if it will take a lot of effort for the Tide, with several schools showing continued interest in Johnson. The interest looks to be very mutual at this point.
