On3 revealed its updated 2026 recruiting rankings this week and a Tennessee Vols commit was among the biggest risers.
2026 four-star wide receiver Tyreek King, 6-foot/170 lbs from Knoxville, TN, went from No. 124 to No. 76 overall in On3's updated recruiting rankings.
King has been committed to Tennessee since last October.
From On3: "King is one of the better athletes at receiver in the 2026 cycle. We had a chance to see him in person at the Nashville Under Armour camp as well. And we just came away impressed with the twitch and the explosion. He has been a productive, borderline dominant receiver at the high school level. And seeing him against that competition helped us understand where he stacks up in the group of wideouts. He’s a really explosive receiver who can line up all over the formation, can win both deep and underneath. And he’s dangerous with the ball in his hands." — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
King has been receiving quite a bit of praise in recent weeks.
Late last month, 247Sports described the talented wide receiver as a "picture perfect fit" for Tennessee's offense.
From 247Sports : Tennessee has a picture perfect fit in Tyreek King. A three-star pass catcher from Knoxville, Josh Heupel didn't have to go far to find one of the southeast's most dynamic playmakers. King appears fully bred for the Vols high flying passing attack. Estimated at a shade over 5-foot-10, the Knoxville Catholic standout plays with excellent body control and route tempo, showing the ability to create consistent separation both off the line of scrimmage and at the top of the route with relative ease.
Additionally, Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney suggested that King could be a recruit that's elevated to five-star status later this year.
King is solidly committed to Tennessee, though the Michigan Wolverines are a program that's hoping to change that this summer.
