Terrell Owens' NFL career concluded in 2010, but he continues to make moves off the football field long after his days of burning by defenders.
According to Variety, on Wednesday, the 50-year-old Owens — along with NFL insider Jordan Schultz — signed with SMAC Entertainment, a talent agency that represents big-name personalities across sports, entertainment and music.
The company's football talent list includes Erin Andrews, Michael Strahan, Antonio Pierce, Stefon Diggs, Tony Gonzalez and DK Metcalf.
Also on that client list are five Colorado Buffaloes stars: Head coach Deion Sanders, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, safety Shilo Sanders, two-way star Travis Hunter and offensive tackle Jordan Seaton.
Owens and the Sanders family share a longstanding relationship dating back to Coach Prime's NFL playing days, in which the iconic wide receiver and cornerback faced off three times. More recently the five-time All-Pro wideout has been spotted at Sanders' practices and games at Jackson State and Colorado. Naturally, the duo is also connected on social media.
Already an established entrepreneur and actor in film and TV, Owens' relationship with SMAC begins immediately and the agency "will identify new sports media opportunities, secure strategic brand endorsements, manage production projects and architect additional business ventures," according to Variety.
Over his 15-year NFL career spanning 1996 to 2010, Owens, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018, racked up 1,078 catches for 15,934 yards and 156 total touchdowns (three rushing). He ranks third all-time in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
