Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns are gearing up for another College Football Playoff run as the 2025 season quickly approaches.
The Longhorns have the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in 2025. In addition to this incoming first-year talent, the program also has some elite prospects joining the team through the transfer portal.
On Monday, Texas landed a transfer portal commitment from Emmett Mosley V — the top available wide receiver in this year's transfer class.
Mosley spent the first year of his college football career with Stanford, reeling in 48 catches for 525 yards and six touchdowns in his debut campaign with the Cardinal. The 6-foot-2, 205 lbs WR will arrive in Austin with three seasons of remaining collegiate eligibility.
Mosley originally committed to Stanford as a three-star recruit in the 2024 class. The Rancho Santa Margarita, California native appeared in nine games and made eight starts for the Cardinal in his freshman season.
Mosley entered the transfer portal on April 3 after Stanford fired head coach Troy Taylor.

Mosley will help fill the Longhorns' void at the wide receiver position left by the departures of top WR options Matthew Golden and Isaiah Bond to the 2025 NFL draft. The transfer pass catcher should be one of the top options for Arch Manning in his first season as Texas' full-time starting quarterback.
Texas finished its first season in the SEC with a 13-3 record. The Longhorns' 2024 campaign came to an end with a Cotton Bowl loss to the eventual-champion Ohio State Buckeyes.
Texas will kickoff its 2025 college football season with a highly-anticipated rematch against the Buckeyes on Aug. 30.
