The Texas A&M Aggies managed to acquire one of the top offensive linemen nationally in their latest recruitment list. Samuel Roseborough, a four-star offensive tackle, has provided his commitment to Texas A&M. This means that Coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns have lost the recruitment battle for him.
The 6-4 ft tall player from Clearwater High School announced the decision on Monday. In a combined post with On3’s Hayes Fawcett and the team, the Aggies commit player said, “Next chapter: College Station. Let’s build something special. GigEm”!
According to a report on the On3 website, Roseborough had offers from programs like the Texas Longhorns, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes, and others. Additionally, over 20 Division I programs have offered him scholarships. He is the 13th-ranked offensive tackle for the 2026 class according to On3.
The OT, who has excelled in footwork, will now provide his expertise to the Aggies and will bring serious versatility to the O-line. He uses his stunning size to outsmart defenders in both runs and pass games. In 2024, Roseborough led his high school side to a 7-4 record. The Texas A&M team had an impressive offense in 2024.
However, they had to let go of several talented players to the NCAA Transfer Portal and the NFL Draft this year. Over 28 players were lost to the portal while stars like Nic Scourton, Shemar Stewart, and Shemar Turner were drafted. The football team has no plan to change the philosophy of the offense.
As head coach Mike Elko looks to lead the team for a second year, the program has managed to land more than a dozen players to replace the losses. It is to be seen what Roseborough brings to the table.
