The class of 2027 has taken full attention this week. As Penn State Football heads down the home stretch of the offseason, now is a great time to get acclimated with the Nittany Lions‘ recruiting prospects in the class of 2027.
Earlier today, I looked at Penn State’s chance to bring in a great Offensive Line haul in 2027. One of those 2027 targets, Jaiden Lindsay was kind enough to talk with NittanyCentral about his recruitment.
“Yeah, Penn State is definitely still in the mix for me.” Lindsay said. “I like the culture Penn State has. The coaching staff is like one big family.”
Jaiden Lindsay camped at Penn State back in the beginning of June. He described that experience this way. “The visit was good. I camped up there, so I go to work with Coach Traut and some of the other Offensive Linemen commits that were there.”
Lindsay mentioned three other schools involved in his recruitment. Those schools being Tennessee, West Virginia, and Ohio State. On Tennessee Lindsay said “I haven’t been on a visit to Tennessee yet. I have to go to a
game day this season, but I hear Rocky Top is a great football city.”
Regarding West Virginia, Jaiden Lindsay said “[West Virginia’s] facilities are great. Morgantown is also another great college football city.”
One of the big hitters in Lindsay’s recruitment is Ohio State. Lindsay has not earned an offer from the Buckeyes yet, but he camped in Columbus in June and seems like he made an impression. “Ohio state is involved a little bit. I camped up there in June and Coach Bowen gained some interest in me.”
Lindsay is a Good Counsel High School product. The same school that produced Stefon Diggs, Kendall Fuller, Penn State’s very own Landon Tengwall, and countless others, is where Lindsay plays his high school football. Last season, Good Counsel was 7-5 on the year. Keep in mind, they play an extremely competitive schedule. But this year, Lindsay has his goals set higher.
“Win the WCAC championship.” Is what Lindsay said one of his goals were for the upcoming season. “We are definitely looking solid. A lot of people have to step up this year and I believe they can do it.”
Personally, Lindsay wants to become a Junior All-American. Additionally, he has one game on Good Counsel’s schedule circled. “I’m most looking forward to Dematha.” Lindsay told NittanyCentral.
