Florida State’s quarterback, Thomas Castellanos isn’t backing down from the comments he made about Alabama football earlier this offseason ahead of the Seminoles’ season opener against the Crimson Tide in Tallahassee.

Castellanos made headlines earlier this summer when he told ON3′ Nakos he couldn’t see Alabama ‘stopping’ him.

“I’ve dreamed of playing against Alabama,” Castellanos said. “They don’t have Nick Saban to save them. I just don’t see them stopping me.”

Castellanos was asked about his comments at ACC Media Days.

“We stand on what I said,” Castellanos said. “I said what I said, and we stand on that. I don’t mean no disrespect to none of those guys at Alabama or anything like that. I just have confidence in my guys and the work we have been putting in and preparing and the preparation we’ve been putting together. That’s all that was. No disrespect to those guys, but we stand on what I said.”

Alabama football will open the season against Florida State on August 30th.
