With the 2025 College Football Playoff bracket officially set, the first round of matchups features several intriguing storylines. This includes a team in the Indiana Hoosiers that emerged as one of the biggest surprises of the college football season.

The Hoosiers, who went 3-9 last season and a combined 9-27 over the past three years, reeled off a stellar 11-1 record this year while securing their spot in the playoff.

Indiana's impressive season, featuring a lone loss against fellow CFP team Ohio State, has set up a first-round matchup against the 11-1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

While the matchup checks in as the No. 7 vs. No. 10 matchup, and the winner gets a date with the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs, there's no shortage of interest in the matchup. The proof comes from the lofty price tag to get a ticket for this game.

As Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports revealed, the Indiana vs. Notre Dame tickets, marked as in "high demand," feature price tags ranging from roughly $1,070 to $5,500.

The Indiana vs. Notre Dame matchup is tied for the closest spread of the first four games, with the Irish checking in as -7.5-point favorites. Of the other matchups, only Tennessee vs. Ohio State (Buckeyes as -7.5-point favorites) is projected to be as close.

The Hoosiers are led by quarterback Kurtis Rourke, who threw for 2,827 yards, 27 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Indiana's running back duo of Justice Ellison (148 carries, 811 yards, 10 touchdowns) and Ty Son Lawton (131 carries, 634 yards, 12 touchdowns) have fueled an impressive ground game for the Hoosiers.

As for Notre Dame, dual-threat transfer quarterback Riley Leonard threw for 2,092 yards and 16 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He also rushed for 721 yards and 14 scores to complement the impressive play of running back Jeremiyah Love, who tallied 949 yards on 134 carries (7.1 yards per attempt) with 15 rushing touchdowns.
