Appearing recently on "Crain & Company," Brando revealed his preseason top 15, spotlighting teams from six different conferences, along with one prominent independent squad.

However, one team in particular caught Brando's attention, as he boldly named it his preseason No. 1. That Big Ten powerhouse? None other than the Ohio State Buckeyes, fresh off their impressive national championship run last season.

According to Brando, the Buckeyes' roster depth and key offseason moves position them perfectly for another big year.

He specifically singled out sophomore wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, a dynamic athlete who broke multiple freshman receiving records last year. Brando confidently stated, "Unless there's a really bad injury to that kid, no one can cover him."

Smith’s standout 2024 campaign included 76 catches for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns, establishing him as one of college football’s most exciting talents.

Brando said he believes Ohio State's revamped quarterback position, regardless of who wins the job between Julian Sayin and Lincoln Kienholz, will also be a major strength under the guidance of new offensive coordinator Brian Hartline.
