The top-remaining recruit in the class of 2025 is down to six schools with a commitment date approaching, according to an announcement on Thursday.

J’Vari Flowers plays for Northwestern High School in Miami, Florida. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback recently reclassified from the class of 2026, becoming the highest-rated player that has yet to make a commitment, per Rivals

Flowers is rated as the No. 5 cornerback, the No. 12 player in the state and the No. 55 overall recruit in his class. While slightly undersized at this point, Flowers' speed is a major factor, as he is a Florida AAA state champion in the 100-meter yard dash.

With time a major factor for Flowers, multiple schools have made a notable push for the highly-coveted prospect.

Flowers will choose among Miami, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, North Carolina and Syracuse, he revealed on Thursday.

Flowers, who has to make his decision by April 1, also announced that he intends to commit on March 31 after making visits to his top programs, including UNC (March 3), Auburn (March 6), Florida (March 10), Georgia (March 17), Syracuse (March 21) and Miami (March 24).

Perhaps the most intriguing part of Flowers' recruiting battle is in-state connection to the Hurricanes and UF. Florida head coach Billy Napier and Miami's Mario Cristobal have built some momentum as of late, signing the nation's No. 8 class and No. 13 class, respectively, in the 2025 cycle ( 247Sports).

But Flowers' staying home isn't a given at this point, and major players like Georgia (No. 2) and Auburn (No. 7) have been hot on the recruiting trail.
