The college football season has concluded, meaning offseason talks have veered toward the future of some of the biggest powerhouse programs in the country.

Following the finale of the College Football Playoff, where the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the national championship, On3 revealed a few notable head coaches on the hot seat.

Here's a look at the names listed on On3's hot seat list: Brent Pry (Virginia Tech), Troy Taylor (Stanford), Scott Satterfield (Cincinnati), Brent Brennan (Arizona), Mike Locksley (Maryland), Sam Pittman (Arkansas), Billy Napier (Florida) and Hugh Freeze (Auburn).

While each of these head coaches were once highly-touted leaders entering their respective programs, a few disappointing seasons now have them on the hot seat.

Here's a look at the record's during the 2024 college football for each program listed:

● Virginia Tech: 6-7

● Stanford: 3-9

● Cincinnati: 5-7

● Maryland: 4-8

● Arkansas: 7-6

● Florida: 8-5

● Auburn: 5-7

The two biggest names listed on On3's hot seat post are relatively new to their programs: Napier and Freeze.

Napier is fresh off his third season at Florida, leading the SEC powerhouse to an 8-5 record. He currently boasts a 19-19 overall record with a 10-14 record in SEC play.

Before joining the Gators, Napier served as the head coach of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns from 2018 to 2021.

Freeze entered the SEC after serving as the head coach of the Liberty Flames from 2019 to 2022.

He's now spent two years at Auburn, posting an 11-14 record overall record with the Tigers along with a 5-11 record in SEC play.
