
Kansas safety Lyrik Rawls plans on entering the transfer portal for a second time with one year of eligibility remaining.
Rawls, a redshirt senior, intends to transfer out of Lawrence after just one season with the Jayhawks, his agent told Hayes Fawcett of On3 on Thursday. Rawls played four seasons at Oklahoma State before joining the KU secondary for the 2025 season.

The seventh Jayhawk eyeing the portal, Rawls led the safety group with 72 tackles (56 solo), seven pass deflections and one interception against Fresno State in Week 1.
Rawls, running back Johnny Thompson Jr., wide receiver Bryce Cohoon, linebacker Jacorey Stewart, tight end Jaden Hamm and safety Damani Maxson have all declared their intentions to transfer away when the portal opens on Jan. 2.
