The college football world was captivated by the spectacular play of Colorado's two-way star Travis Hunter this season.
The former No. 1 overall recruit, who started his career at Jackson State before following Deion Sanders to Boulder, put together a season unlike the sport has seen before. He racked up nearly 100 catches for over 1,100 yards with 15 total touchdowns on offense while adding 31 tackles, 11 pass deflections, four interceptions, and a forced fumble on defense.
To cap off his tremendous year, he ended up bringing in eight major awards headlined by the Biletnikoff (best receivers), the Bednarik (best defensive player) and the Heisman Trophy (best player in college football). While Colorado and college football fans may be sad to see him depart for the NFL at the season's end, another Hunter is coming down the pipe.
His younger brother, Trayvis Hunter, is currently a sophomore (2027) in high school, and on Monday, announced he received his first college football offer from Tennessee State.
"#AGTG Blessed to receive my 1st ever offer from Tennessee State University," wrote Hunter.
Unlike his brother, who stands at 6-foot-1 and plays both receiver and corner, Trayvis is on the smaller side and plays just one position. He (Trayvis) stands at 5-foot-7, weighing just 140 pounds.
However, don't let his lack of size fool you. He still put up some fairly decent numbers this season for Effingham County High School in Georgia, as he posted 36 catches for 496 yards and six touchdowns this season, according to MaxPreps.
He isn't currently ranked by 247Sports, but that could easily change if he continues to improve his production.
It also didn't take long for him to rack up a second offer, as Jackson State offered him just a few hours later. An offer that certainly has to mean quite a lot to him and his family.
