Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and hybrid star Travis Hunter played in their final game with the Colorado Buffaloes as they took on the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday evening.
After forcing a BYU three-and-out in its first possession of the game, the Buffaloes received the ball for their first drive at their own 24-yard line. After making it into Cougars territory, Colorado faced a fourth-down situation.
Sanders attempted to hit wide receiver Will Sheppard for the first with Hunter in the same area, but the pass fell incomplete.
After the play, Hunter, who ran a route of his own, approached his quarterback and bumped into him, seemingly delivering an intense message to Sanders.

BYU received the ball back at their 48-yard line and scored a touchdown six plays later, the first points of the night.
Sanders and Hunter are coming off a stellar regular season during their final year in Boulder. They led Colorado to a 9-3 record and were one loss against Kansas away from making the Big 12 Championship Game and possibly the College Football Playoff.
Still, the two stars earned numerous awards for their performance in 2024. Sanders won Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors. Hunter, who plays both receiver and cornerback, earned the Heisman Trophy and was named an All-American as a cornerback and an all-purpose player.
Both Sanders and Hunter are widely projected as top picks in the 2025 NFL draft. The former is expected by many to be the No. 1 pick if the New York Giants wind up with that spot. Hunter, on the other hand, is predicted as the first non-quarterback off the board.
