TRENDING: SEC RB Enjoys a Huge Spring Game

Saturday was a busy day around the country for spring games. Many players excelled, but few had more impressive performances than Florida running back Ja’Kobi Jackson.

Jackson only had 10 carries, but rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns, including a 90-yarder. It was a huge day for the fifth-year senior, who rushed for 509 yards and seven touchdowns during the 2024 season after arriving in Gainesville as a JUCO transfer.

Will Jackson’s performance lead to bigger things during the 2025 season? It may, but it is more likely that Jackson will split carries with Jadan Baugh. The two shared carries last season with Montrell Johnson, but with the latter now preparing for the NFL, the Jackson/Baugh duo will be the workhorses out of the backfield.

Teaming up with quarterback DJ Lagway, it gives the Gators a potentially explosive offense next season.
