Pros of Treydan Stukes

  • Doesnt have the long speed, but may have some of the best recovery speed in the class. Closes on receivers and has incredible ball skill at the catch point.
  • Stukes is a fluid mover on the inside despite his frame. His silky movement and hip turn ability means he can stick to even the shiftiest of receivers.
  • Very productive player when on the field, Stukes recorded four interceptions and six pass breakups during the 2025 season in just 608 snaps with the Wildcats.

Cons of Treydan Stukes

  • Stukes is one of the older defensive back prospects in the class with his rookie season being the year after the year of an ACL injury suffered in 2024 that lingered into 2025. He will be 24 by the time he plays his first real NFL snaps.
  • Where Stukes can be deployed on the field is limited. although he has extensive history on the outside, Stukes doesn't have the speed or play strength to work on the boundary and projects to be a bigger nickel guy that can potentially rotate into a safety role with the right fit.
  • Poor run defender with lackluster tackling technique and tackling strength. Stukes had six missed tackles in the 2025 season.

Background

A former walk on now sixth-year senior, Stukes has played all over the field for the Arizona Wildcats since 2020. A covid year and ACL tear have kept the athletic defenseman at the collegiate level, where he has played both outside, inside, and at the safety position. Stukes really cam into his own in 2025, where he set career highs in both interceptions and pass breakups.

Player Evaluation

Stukes has the size, length, and traits to be a set and forget nickel corner at the NFL level. His fluidity and ball skills offer a solid floor production-wise. Even though there are tackling and run game concerns, the skills would make him a dark horse day one surprise if it wasn't for the injury and position limitations. At 24 and still under the full two years of recovery time, Stukes just doesn't have the high end ceiling you would like in a first or second round corner.
