Triple H Drops Major Hint about Colorado Linebacker's Future in WWE

Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H, has built an outstanding career in professional wrestling over the past four decades. The wrestler turned WWE executive addressed the potential of Colorado linebacker Gage Goldberg being on a future roster for the organization during WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.

“He probably won’t be the last Goldberg in the business," Levesque said. "I can see this sparkle in Gage’s eyes, and he’s been very clear about it – if the NFL doesn’t work out, here he comes. So we’ll see.”

The son of WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was on hand to take part in his father's farewell match over the weekend. The 6-foot, 205-pound middle linebacker from Boerne Champion (Texas) was part of Coach Prime's 2024 recruiting class. He has a special tie to Sanders having known him since he was a kid. Gage played in three games last year as a true freshman with his debut on the road against Arizona.

Bill Goldberg was a teammate of Coach Prime's in the early 90s with the Atlanta Falcons. He eventually quit football and became one of the most noticeable figures in the wrestling world with WCW and eventually the WWE.

With Gage previously expressing interest in following his father's footsteps, the WWE remains a solid backup plan for now. It's clear wrestling fans would enjoy the continued storyline with Gage being the next Goldberg in the world of wrestling.
