Alabama women's basketball gained a head coach in Pauline Love on Wednesday, but per On3, guard Diana Collins and forward Naomi Jones are planning to enter the transfer portal.
Collins and Jones will become the Crimson Tide's third and fourth players to move on from the team, joining freshman forward Joy Egbuna and redshirt sophomore forward Reychel Douglas. It's uncertain at this time where this quartet of players will land, but it's important to note that former Alabama head coach Kristy Curry left UA on March 24 after 13 seasons to take the same role at USF.
Collins started in all 33 contests for the Crimson Tide, averaging 8.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 28.1 minutes per game. The junior spent each of the last two seasons in Tuscaloosa after her freshman campaign at Ohio State.
Collins posted 11 double-digit scoring games this season, including five straight between Dec. 17 and Jan. 8. Collins tallied a career-high 20 points against Jackson State on Dec. 14 and a personal best eight rebounds against Troy on Dec. 21.
Jones appeared in 31 of the Tide’s 33 games, making 13 starts and averaging 4.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 16.6 minutes per game. The redshirt sophomore was granted a medical redshirt after missing the entire 2024-25 season due to an ACL injury.
Jones set a career-high 15 points against Jackson State and hauled in 11 rebounds against Tennessee on Jan. 18. She led Alabama in blocks this season with 61 (30 more than the second-most), and also offensive rebounds with 58 (22 more than the second-most).

We are real thin on the line," Bryant said after a scrimmage. Among those he praised included backs Mike Fracchia (60 yards rushing on 13 carries), Ray Abruzzese (39 yards on seven carries), Goobie Stapp (34 yards on five carries) and Butch Wilson (35 yards on four carries). The coach added that Tommy Brooker played well, with the junior receiver catching two passes for 47 yards and making all three extra-point attempts.
