Why UAB Will Win

Again, Alabama State has to replace several key players.

UAB is breaking in a whole slew of defensive players, but overall, it's an upgrade, especially on the line. With more depth and options in the secondary, the production should follow, especially against a Hornet passing game that won't have a ton of consistency. 

The idea here, though, is to get the Blazer offense moving right away. Quarterback Jalen Kitna doesn't have a few of his top targets from l ast year, but enough deep threats are around to start pushing right away.

UAB vs Alabama State: Who Will Win

For all of the issues and all of the disappointment so far under Dilfer, there hasn't been any issue whatsoever in the season openers against FCS teams.

He won his first game in 2023 with a 35-6 breather against North Carolina A&T, last year, the season opened up with a 41-3 victory, and this will be a similar roll to an easy win with the offense looking the part ...
