UConn wide receiver Skyler Bell made an outrageous 1-handed catch during his team’s game against the Syracuse Orange at JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y., on Saturday.
UConn was down 20-17 with 31 seconds left and had a 4th-and-10 at their 25-yard line. Joe Fagnano got the snap from a shotgun formation and threw down the seam for Bell, who stopped the ball and completed a 1-handed catch while bobbling the ball.

That was a great catch by Bell, and it got the ball across midfield. Fagnano completed two more passes to Bell on the drive to put his Huskies in field goal range. They were able to kick a field goal to tie the game at 20 and send it to overtime. But Syracuse won the game 27-20 in OT.
Bell finished with 11 catches for 105 yards. He had 4 catches for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns in the team’s season-opening win over Central Connecticut State.
