USC Trending Towards Landing Dynamic Talent With 53 Offers

USC is stretching its relentless offseason to Fourth of July weekend. The Trojans are now trending toward landing a new dynamic talent -- one armed with 53 total scholarship offers.

USC is the favorite to land wide receiver Ethan "Boobie" Feaster, with Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegelman of On3/Rivals picking the Trojans as the favorite.

Landing Feaster becomes one more massive coup for head coach Lincoln Riley and the Trojans coaching staff. Feaster himself even teased a possible USC commitment back on June 8.

Feaster remains one of the more touted uncommitted prospects heading into the summer. USC is starting to trend upward ahead of his verbal decision. However, there's other powerhouses still at play -- including one heavy favorite from his home state of Texas.

"Alabama, USC, LSU and Texas A&M are finalists for the four-star pass-catcher and this is shaping up to be the Aggies’ to lose," Spiegelman wrote.

Still, USC isn't wavering per Spiegelman -- which lifts its chances of winning a verbal commitment from him.

"LSU was trending at various points with Feaster, who has ties to The Boot, but it’s Texas A&M and USC battling until the finish line," Spiegelman added.

USC would grab the nation's No. 5 wide receiver if they hold off Texas A&M and the other SEC challengers. Wide receivers coach Chad Savage is running point of Feaster's commitment.

Riley and the Trojans would add their fifth wide receiver option for the future. USC will need to eventual replace Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane -- as both are garnering NFL Draft attention this fall.
