USC Trojans 'Aggressively' Courting Highly Rated WR From Out West

The USC Trojans are creating a relentless future attack at wide receiver -- one already featuring four-stars Trent Mosley and Ethan "Boobie" Feaster for 2026.

But the Trojans are "aggressively" courting another highly-touted wide receiver out west.

USC remains in hot pursuit of Class of 2027 four-star and local talent Quentin Hale, who currently stars for nearby Cathedral High in Los Angeles. Connor Morrisette of 247Sports revealed Hale continues to "feel the love" from nearby USC.

Hale adds the Trojans are recruiting him the hardest.

What USC Target Says About Trojans

The 6-foot-3 Hale told Morrisette that WRs coach Dennis Simmons is all over him.

"He tells me that he really wants me because he knows he can develop me. He knows I can be a way better player in the future so really he's just been showing me love and fixing my mistakes," Hale said.

USC head coach Lincoln Riley is another Hale spoke highly of. With Riley telling him "he wants me to be a big part of his offense."

Hale exploded on the national recruiting radar in catching 14 touchdown passes in 2024. Greg Biggins of 247Sports called Hale "one of the premier receivers in the West, regardless of class. He has a long, athletic 6-3 frame and is extremely fluid and smooth in how he moves."

What Competition Does USC Face for 4-Star?

Landing Hale won't be easy for the Land of Troy, however.

He's already armed with 24 offers to choose from and counting. That includes some blue blood programs pursuing him.

Riley's former school Oklahoma not only offered Hale, but received a visit from him during the weekend of Sept. 19. The Sooners aren't the only Southeastern Conference power recruiting Hale.

Tennessee is expecting him to visit, Morrisette adds. Alabama also offered him. Same with Georgia and Texas A&M.

Even the nation's No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams Ohio State and Miami are attempting to lure Hale into its own 2027 class.

USC will need to pull off a huge sales pitch in order of preventing one of the top local talents from drifting off. But Trojan fans should love how Simmons and Riley are making him a wanted priority.
